100 Words

By: Ed Dzitko

Sometimes, you can’t see the big picture. You come up with a scene here and a scene there. Maybe you have a character about to jump, or take a swing, or commit a murder. But you can’t connect the dots, you can’t make your scenes connect because you can’t identify with the characters or the places.

So you sit and stare, type and backspace, kill file after file because nothing makes sense. When you can’t see the big picture, sometimes, all you can hope for is a simple paragraph, a couple of lines of dialog, or a measly 100 words.
