A Teacher’s Intuition

The class scuttled in the room with a different energy
than yesterday. They were quiet, as if they were trying to keep a secret that would get them into an unreasonable amount of trouble.

When snickering and shooshing sounds started to bubble through the room, the teacher knew something was off and scoped out every available sightline.

Seeing nothing, she turned to the board to post her lesson objectives when there was an immediate collective gasp.     


She pivoted quickly to see her boyfriend on one knee, hands and ringbox extended.

When she said yes,  everyone exhaled.
